Nossob Road, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

The Nossob Road is a 160.8 km sand road in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, starting at Two Rivers Gate. It connects to Auob Road, Bitterpan 4x4 Trail, Leeuwdril 4x4 Trail, Lower Dune Road and Maries Loop. Here's where it runs and where to stop along the way.

The Nossob road is the main route from Twee Rivieren north to Nossob camp, following the dry Nossob riverbed, which forms the border with Botswana. Game gathers along the riverbed, and the road is lined with waterholes, including Rooiputs, Kij Kij, Kameelsleep, Melkvlei, Dikbaardskolk (with a picnic spot) and Kaspersdraai. Both dune roads cross over to the Auob road from it, and Nossob camp has a hide over its waterhole. It is a long gravel drive, so allow a full day and check the gate times before you set out.
