The Lower dune road is the shorter, southern gravel road across the dunes between the two riverbeds, running from Kij Kij on the Nossob road to the Auob road near Auchterlonie. Together with the two riverbed roads it makes a popular loop from Twee Rivieren. Tierkop and Kij Gamies waterholes are along it.
