Tracks & Trails

Turn the game drive into a game.

Start an Expedition, invite the other cars, and every sighting you log scores points for yours. Fresh missions every drive, the same for every car in the park.

Free in the app, for the whole group or just you. See how it works

An opspoor Expedition board in Pilanesberg: three cars ranked by points, with species and missions counted for each

Why families love it

Two cars leave the gate at 06:00. Nobody is bored by 08:00.

The back seat is counting antelope for the “three different antelope” mission. The front seat is arguing about whether that was a hyena. The other car just scored big on a leopard and everyone knows it, but not where they saw it. By lunch, the impala nobody used to look at twice are worth points, and the kids are the best spotters in the car.

The real board

This drive’s missions, for real.

Every car in the park plays the same missions each drive. These are the real ones from the app, and you can look ahead to the next drives to plan tonight.

How it works

Three steps, then just drive.

  • 1. Start an Expedition

Pick the park, your dates and a name, and choose a badge for your car. Do it before you leave home or while you wait at the gate.

  • 2. Bring the other cars

Send the invite link to the other cars in your group. Everyone signs in, picks their car, and appears on the same board. Or keep it just for you.

  • 3. Every sighting scores

Log what you see as you drive. Each sighting adds points for your car, and the drive's missions tick off as you go.

The rules

Simple enough for the kids. Competitive enough for everyone else.

  • Rarer finds score more

Common animals score a little, the rare ones a lot, and each species counts once per car per day. Spotting something special changes the race.

  • Hard, but never impossible

You don't need every mission: finish all but one and the drive is complete. The stretch goal is there for the cars that want to go further.

  • Stamp your Park Passport

Complete an Expedition and that park gets a stamp in your Park Passport, kept for good. Collect the parks, one trip at a time.

  • Share the Recap

After the trip, opspoor puts together a Recap of how each car did, ready to share with the group or on your Stories.
