About the African Pygmy Goose
The African pygmy goose is a tiny African waterfowl species associated with freshwater wetlands, lakes, rivers and areas with abundant floating vegetation. It has a compact body, short bill and striking contrasting plumage, with males generally more brightly coloured than females. It feeds mainly on floating aquatic vegetation, seeds and other plant material, occasionally taking small aquatic invertebrates.
