The S25, the Crocodile River road, is the gravel road along the Crocodile River, the park's southern boundary, between Crocodile Bridge and the S114 near Malelane. It is the most direct gravel route between the two, through thorn thicket and grassland, and the S27 turn-off to Hippo Pools is along it. There is little shade, so it can be very hot in summer, and it may close after heavy rain.
