About the Little Egret
The little egret is a small, elegant white heron associated with shallow freshwater and coastal wetlands, rivers, lakes, dams, estuaries and marshes. It has entirely white plumage, a slender black bill, long black legs and yellow feet. It feeds mainly on small fish, frogs, crustaceans, insects and other aquatic prey.
