A real directory, not a listings page

Open Guides and you'll see a directory filtered to the park you're actually in — no scrolling past guides three provinces away. Tap a profile and you get the full picture: bio, certifications, languages spoken, vehicle type, a species-spotted count, and a rate stated up front as "From R[X] per drive," not something you have to DM someone to find out.

Every guide also carries a real star rating and written reviews, built only from bookings that were actually completed — not a cold listing with no history behind it, and not a rating that can be gamed before a single drive has happened. And every guide is vetted before they appear in the directory at all, so the list you're browsing is people opspoor has actually checked, not an open sign-up wall.

Booking, the honest way

Found someone you like? Pick an open date from their own posted availability, set your party size and the kind of drive you're after, add a message if you want, and send the request. The guide accepts or declines from their side, and you track the status in My Bookings.

This is a straight request-and-accept flow between you and the guide — there's no in-app payment processing and no marketplace cut sitting between you and them. You settle up with your guide directly, and opspoor's part is making sure you found each other in the first place. Once the drive is done, you can leave a star rating and a review, so the next traveller browsing that guide's profile gets the same honest picture you did.

If you guide in a park opspoor covers, you can list yourself directly from the app. Add your bio, certifications, languages, vehicle and rate, submit it, and once you're vetted, you're in front of every traveller already using opspoor to plan their sightings, their itinerary, and their next drive — no agency taking a cut in between.
