About the Yellow billed Stork
The yellow-billed stork is a large African wading bird associated with shallow wetlands, lakes, rivers, floodplains and marshes. It has predominantly white plumage with black flight feathers, long red legs and a long yellow bill that curves slightly downward. It feeds mainly on fish, frogs, aquatic invertebrates and other small animals, often walking slowly through shallow water while probing for prey. It is social and may gather in large numbers where feeding conditions are favourable.
