About the Yellow billed Duck
The yellow-billed duck is a widespread African dabbling duck associated with freshwater wetlands, lakes, dams, pans and marshes. It has dark plumage and a distinctive yellow bill with a dark central marking. It feeds mainly on aquatic vegetation, seeds and other plant material, supplemented by small aquatic invertebrates. It is generally resident or nomadic, moving between wetlands when water conditions change.
