About the White headed Vulture
The white-headed vulture is a medium-sized African vulture recognised by its mostly dark body, pale head and distinctive white neck and head feathers. It is primarily a scavenger and feeds on carrion, often searching for carcasses across open savanna and woodland. It may also take insects, eggs and other small food items. White-headed vultures are generally seen singly or in pairs but may gather around food sources with other scavenging birds.
