About the Snouted Cobra
The snouted cobra is a large, highly venomous cobra of southern Africa, generally associated with savanna, grassland, woodland and rocky habitats. It has a relatively broad head, a distinctive elongated snout and variable brown, olive or grey coloration. It is an opportunistic predator that feeds on rodents, frogs, reptiles, birds and other small animals. When threatened, it can raise the front of its body, spread its hood and strike defensively.
