About the Small spotted Genet
The small-spotted genet is a slender, nocturnal African carnivore with a pale grey or yellowish coat covered in dark spots and a long, ringed tail. It is widely distributed and highly adaptable, occurring in woodland, savanna, grassland, rocky areas and habitats near human settlements. It is an opportunistic predator that feeds on rodents, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects and other small animals, while also consuming fruit. It is generally solitary and is an agile climber.

Small, slender genet with a pointed muzzle, large rounded ears, long body and long ringed tail. The coat is grey to brown with numerous dark spots that are generally smaller and less bold than those of larger genets.
