About the Reedbuck (Common)
The common reedbuck is a medium-sized antelope strongly associated with moist grassland, floodplains, river margins and areas of tall grass. It has a greyish-brown coat, white underparts and a distinctive dark scent gland below the ears. Only males have horns, which are short and curved forward. Reedbuck are primarily grazers and are usually seen singly or in small family groups. They rely on dense grass and cover for protection and are often most active around dawn and dusk.
