About the Rainbow Skink
The rainbow skink is a small, robust African skink with smooth, glossy scales and a distinctive iridescent appearance that can produce green, blue, bronze or rainbow-like colours in good light. It is mainly associated with warm rocky areas, woodland, savanna and habitats offering suitable shelter. It feeds primarily on insects and other small invertebrates. It is an active, sun-loving lizard that quickly retreats into cracks, beneath rocks or other cover when disturbed.
