About the Meyers Parrot
Meyer's parrot is a small African parrot found mainly in woodland and savanna habitats. It has predominantly grey-brown plumage with distinctive yellow markings on the head, shoulders and wings, although the extent of yellow varies between populations and individuals. It feeds mainly on seeds, fruits, berries, flowers and other plant material, sometimes taking insects. It is generally social and may occur in pairs or small groups, often feeding quietly in trees.
