About the Kudu (Greater)
The greater kudu is a large African antelope recognised by its grey-brown coat, prominent white vertical stripes and spectacular spiral horns in adult males. It is primarily a browser, feeding on leaves, shoots, flowers, fruits and other woody vegetation, although it may also graze when suitable. Greater kudu are generally found in woodland, bushveld and areas with dense cover. Females and young often live in small herds, while mature males are commonly solitary or form bachelor groups.
How to identify the Kudu (Greater)
