About the Grey Go away bird
The grey go-away-bird is a large, grey African turaco recognised by its long tail, prominent crest and distinctive loud go-away call. It is commonly found in dry woodland, thornveld, savanna and areas with scattered trees. It feeds mainly on fruit, leaves, flowers and shoots and spends much of its time moving through trees. These birds are highly social and are often seen in pairs or small groups, communicating with loud calls when disturbed.
