About the Cape Glossy Starling

The Cape glossy starling is a striking southern African starling with glossy dark blue-green plumage that can appear almost metallic in good light. It has a dark bill and legs and is commonly found in woodland, savanna, gardens and areas with scattered trees. It feeds mainly on fruit, berries and insects and is often encountered in pairs or small groups, although larger gatherings can occur around abundant food sources.
