About the Bushveld Bushbaby (Thick-tailed)
The thick-tailed bushbaby is a nocturnal African primate found mainly in woodland and forest habitats. It has large forward-facing eyes, prominent ears, strong hind limbs and a thick, bushy tail. It is an agile climber and moves rapidly through trees using powerful leaps. Its diet is varied and includes fruit, tree gums, insects and other small animal prey. It is generally encountered singly, in pairs or in small social groups and is most easily detected at night by its calls and eye-shine.
