About the Boomslang
The boomslang is a slender, arboreal snake widely distributed across sub-Saharan Africa. It has large eyes, a relatively short head and variable coloration, ranging from green and brown to grey or reddish tones, often providing excellent camouflage among foliage. It spends much of its time in trees and feeds mainly on chameleons, lizards, frogs, birds and their eggs. The species is highly venomous, although it is generally shy and avoids confrontation with humans.
