About the Bibrons Gecko
Bibron's gecko is a medium to large, robust gecko of southern Africa, commonly associated with rocky areas, woodland, savanna and human structures. It has a broad head, large eyes and a mottled brown, grey and cream pattern that provides effective camouflage. It is primarily nocturnal and feeds on insects and other small invertebrates, occasionally taking small vertebrates. It is an agile climber and often shelters in rock crevices, cracks and other protected spaces during the day.
How to identify the Bibrons Gecko
Large, robust gecko with a broad flattened head, large eyes, granular skin and a thick tail. Colour is usually grey, brown or tan with irregular darker markings and bands, providing good camouflage on rocks, walls and tree trunks.
