About the Red billed Hornbill
The eastern red-billed hornbill is a medium-sized hornbill of eastern and northeastern Africa, commonly associated with dry woodland, savanna and thornveld. It has a long curved red bill, grey-brown plumage and contrasting black-and-white wing and tail markings. It feeds mainly on insects and other small animals but also consumes fruit and seeds. It spends considerable time foraging on the ground and is usually seen singly, in pairs or in small groups.
