About the Denhams Bustard
Denham's bustard is a large ground-dwelling bird of African grasslands, savanna and open woodland. It has a long neck and legs, a pale head and neck, and intricately patterned brown and buff upperparts that provide camouflage in tall vegetation. It is an opportunistic omnivore, feeding on insects, small vertebrates, seeds and other plant material. It spends most of its time walking through open habitat and is generally encountered singly or in pairs.
