About the Blue Korhaan
The blue korhaan is a large ground-dwelling bustard endemic to southern Africa, particularly associated with open grassland and highveld habitats. It has a distinctive blue-grey body, dark head and neck, and contrasting black-and-white markings on the wings. It feeds mainly on insects and other invertebrates but also takes seeds and plant material. It is usually seen singly or in pairs, with males becoming conspicuous during their characteristic territorial and courtship displays.

Large ground-dwelling bustard with a striking blue-grey body, dark blue to black neck and breast, white belly and distinctive black-and-white wing markings. Males are larger and more strongly coloured than females.
