About the Black bellied Bustard
The black-bellied bustard is a large ground-dwelling bird of African grasslands, savanna and open woodland. It has a grey-brown back, pale head and neck and a distinctive dark belly, with males showing stronger contrast during display. It feeds primarily on insects and other invertebrates but also takes seeds, plant material and small vertebrates. It spends most of its time walking through open vegetation searching for food and is generally encountered singly or in pairs.
