Kameelsleep Waterhole lies in the Nossob Riverbed, where the river narrows as it cuts through the surrounding calcrete. The water is provided through a trough rather than a natural pool, and the site can attract gemsbok, springbok, jackals and predators such as spotted hyena and lion. Its name has historical significance, referring to the last free-roaming giraffe shot in this part of the Kalahari before giraffes were later reintroduced.
