Moloto Drive, Pilanesberg National Park

The Moloto Drive is a 18.3 km gravel road in Pilanesberg National Park about 8.3 km from Bakubung Gate. It connects to Nare Link, Sefara Drive and Tlou Drive. Here's what lives along it, where to stop.

Moloto Drive is the longest road in Pilanesberg, an 18 km gravel route through the quieter western side of the park. It crosses the open Moloto Plain and dry thornveld, good country for scanning for antelope away from the busier center. Batlhako Dam has a bird hide right beside the road, with a viewpoint and Moloto Picnic Site next to it. Moloto Drive links with Tlou Drive, Sefara Drive and Nare Link, so it fits into a longer western loop. Allow plenty of time: at the park's 40 km/h limit the drive alone takes close to half an hour.
