About the Red headed Rock Agama
The red-headed rock agama is a colourful, diurnal lizard associated with rocky areas, savanna, woodland and human-modified habitats across parts of Africa. Adult males can develop a striking orange, red or yellow head and neck during breeding, contrasting with a darker body, while females and non-breeding males are generally less brightly coloured. It feeds mainly on insects and other small invertebrates and is commonly seen basking on rocks, walls and exposed surfaces.
